So long, farewell. Adieu, adieu, adieu!
So here's my elaborate to-do-list (compiled throughout the year and sometimes even the night before an exam to act as motivation to push through):
1. Read (shout out to The Book Depository for cheap prices and efficient home delivery)
2. Sew - diy like there's no tomorrow
3. Knit/Crochet, in other words be an old lady, however I will never be as quick
4. Shop
5. Clean bedroom, including wardrobe and reorganise
6.
7. Watch anime:
8. Watch dramas
9. Watch movies
10. Delete, rename, reorganise all the files/folders on my laptop
11. Delete, reorganise my iPod
12. Blog
13. etc
I must admit though, one of the first things I did was weep because it was all over - what I like to call 'post-hsc breakdown'. I guess it was just hard to believe that I'll never need to regurgitate english essays or ancient historian quotes, prove congruent and similar triangles, hate on Jeff Koons' untraditional artmaking practice and define the difference between asynchronous and synchronous transmission. So as a celebratory gesture, one of the first things I did was wash the dishes (after what seemed ages) as a simple thank you to my parents for all they've done for me during the hsc period/year. Yes, I've gone through tough times - sometimes even wondering if I'd survive it all and thank God I have - times when I'd doubt myself, or wonder what would happen if my results weren't good enough. So I think that this screen shot from 'Air' is oh so relevant: "my wings hurt", simply meaning that we do have wings, however they may burden us at times.

- Be nicer/kinder. e.g. if I don't have anything good to say, i'll just keep it inside.
- Learn how to cook. And no, ramen or microwaved scrambled eggs do not count.
- Watch the news, watch QandA, read the newspaper - know what's happening around me.
- Drive, because I'm seriously such a bad driver right now
- Grow a bonsai, or another sort of plant.
- Exercise!
- Save money, whether or not I'm employed or not
- and much much more....
